The Salon Apprentice role is onsite in Richmond, VA, with flexibility to work at any of Mango Salon’s three locations. Compensation starts at $13 per hour. Mango Salon provides professional hair services and operates an apprentice program with weekly training and education. The apprentice works as a salon assistant while learning technical skills and salon operations, completing coursework and practice hours toward the State Board Cosmetology Licensing Test and future hair designer work.

What you'll do

• Assist hair designers and salon management
• perform shampooing, color mixing, toners, and color pull-throughs
• carry out AVEDA rituals and practices
• maintain salon cleanliness
• attend classes and complete required coursework and practice hours
• support guest service and salon operations.
