Aerial Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Aerial Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Phelan, CA, with frequent travel to other Race Communications offices and off-site locations. Pay is $24–$26 per hour. Race Communications connects California communities through fiber internet service. This technician supports safe access to aerial fiber infrastructure and helps maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and restore the outside plant network. The work supports fiber splicers and network maintenance teams in inspections, outage response, and service restoration.

What you'll do

• Support inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and restoration of aerial fiber infrastructure
• operate bucket trucks, ladders, and other access equipment
• assist with cable replacement and fiber-cut repairs
• prepare splice locations
• inspect aerial facilities
• coordinate outage response
• document work and update network records
• maintain vehicles and equipment
• follow safety procedures.
