Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Miami, FL. Pay is $20–$21 per hour. The assistant supports physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in patient care at Allergy & Asthma Associates of South Florida. The role combines clinical support, testing, documentation, and patient communication to help deliver outpatient allergy and asthma care. The assistant prepares patients and exam rooms, performs specified tests and treatments, and helps patients understand care instructions.

What you'll do

• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms
• record vital signs and update electronic patient records
• administer allergy injections, nebulizer treatments, and medications as directed
• perform spirometry, sinus echo, and allergy skin tests
• prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• use aseptic technique and universal precautions
• answer patient calls
• explain treatment and follow-up instructions
• protect patient confidentiality
• travel to other office locations as needed.

Why this role

Requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, a CMA or RMA credential, CPR and/or BLS certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three years of outpatient medical assistant experience. Travel to other offices may be needed.
