Intervention Technician

Job overview

The Intervention Technician role is in person in Boise, ID; the posting states pay of $16 per hour. Journeys Developmental Disability Agency serves children in the Boise area and is a division of Caregiver, Inc. The technician implements behavior plans and individualized skill-development strategies for children with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role documents progress and collaborates with families and a multidisciplinary team to support safety, independence, and quality of life.

What you'll do

• Implement behavior plans and evidence-based strategies
• teach communication and functional life skills
• collect and analyze behavioral data
• collaborate with therapists, psychologists, educators, and families
• respond to crises using approved de-escalation techniques
• provide guidance and training to families and caregivers
• prepare progress reports and maintain required documentation.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, along with at least 12 months of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and the employer can help obtain it.
