The manager directs the department’s overall functions to support quality food service and nutritional care, coordinating food preparation standards and administrative work while supporting staff and department procedures.

What you'll do

• Assist with food ordering, storage, and preparation as designated by the food service director
• make and record menu changes under the director’s direction
• ensure safe food handling and food quality standards
• use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required
• ensure staff follow standardized recipes
• attend staff and center meetings and required committees
• assist with departmental policies and procedures
• work dietary staff routines when assigned or needed.

Why this role

State-required food safety certification; dietary manager training program graduate preferred. Two to three years of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term-care dietary department is desirable.
