What you'll do

• Prepare patients for procedures, perform preoperative assessments, start IVs, and provide discharge instructions
• recover patients after general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care
• deliver direct surgical-suite care
• document care in the electronic medical record
• communicate postoperative instructions
• maintain cleanliness, sterility, equipment function, and safety standards
• initiate emergency protocols as needed
• mentor new staff and collaborate on equipment and supply needs.
