Job overview

The Registered Nurse role is onsite in White Plains, NY, for 2–3 days a week, with a stated schedule of Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., including one set late day of 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Pay is $50–$55 per hour, with a differential available for bilingual candidates. Greater Mental Health of New York promotes mental wellness through advocacy, community education, and direct services. The nurse supports clients in Article 32 substance use and Article 31 mental health outpatient programs by assessing health needs, monitoring physical and medication-related indicators, coordinating care and treatment steps, and providing health education. The work advances recovery through evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered nursing care.

What you'll do

  • Conduct initial and annual health assessments
  • coordinate medical testing, referrals, appointments, and records
  • provide health education, risk reduction counseling, and referrals
  • monitor medication use and lab results
  • administer medications and injections as prescribed
  • conduct toxicology testing as needed
  • document care and support chronic disease management.
