The Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician - Relief role is onsite in Chantilly, VA, with compensation of $27–$56 per hour. Veterinary Emergency Group provides emergency veterinary care through hospitals open 24/7, 365 days a year, with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most. The technician supports emergency cases from triage through discharge, providing nursing care, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care support. The role works with veterinarians and the care team to deliver compassionate care to pets and support their people during stressful situations.

What you'll do

• Provide triage, nursing care, treatments, diagnostics, monitoring, and critical care
• administer medications and support IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions
• perform CPR
• assist with imaging, sample collection, and tube placement
• provide anesthesia and use advanced techniques such as central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasound
• support pet parents and collaborate with the team.

Why this role
