Calibration Technician

Job overview

The Calibration Technician role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with pay of $19–$38 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime; the technician travels to customer sites during the workweek and supports the local calibration laboratory when not traveling. The client provides calibration and compliance services to industries including life sciences, aerospace, defense, energy, and utilities. The technician calibrates measurement and test equipment, documents findings, and performs adjustments or minor repairs when equipment is out of tolerance. The work supports customer equipment reliability and compliance with quality requirements through accurate service records and maintenance of calibration standards.

What you'll do

• Calibrate measurement and test equipment to manufacturer specifications
• identify and document out-of-tolerance conditions
• perform adjustments and minor repairs
• complete calibration documentation and service records
• maintain calibration standards
• provide feedback on calibration practices
• communicate service findings to customers
• and submit travel, service, and administrative documentation. Travel is Monday–Friday, may include overnight stays, and is home on weekends approximately 95% of the time
• travel and lodging expenses are covered.
