The Early Childhood Education Teacher / Associate Teacher role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with regular Monday–Friday attendance according to the site supervisor’s schedule. Teacher pay is $22.36 per hour; Associate Teacher pay is $21.56 per hour. The role supports MAOF Child Care and Development Centers in Los Angeles County. The teacher or associate teacher provides instruction, guidance, and supervision that supports children’s social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development. Through lesson planning, developmental assessment, family engagement, and safe classroom routines, the role contributes to children’s learning and well-being.

What you'll do

• Instruct and supervise groups of children
• prepare and follow lesson plans
• provide age-appropriate activities across curriculum areas
• implement safety rules and supervise activities
• maintain attendance and required documentation
• conduct health checks and report concerns
• assess and document development and Individual Education Plans
• hold parent conferences
• supervise and train aides, student teachers, and volunteers
• support children needing additional assistance
• serve as a mandated reporter
• assist with parent meetings and field trips.

Why this role

Teacher applicants need a valid California Teacher Permit and 24 semester units in early childhood education or child development; Associate Teacher applicants need a valid California Associate Teacher Permit and 12 semester units. Three infant and toddler units are required for those classrooms.
