The Perianesthesia Technician, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) role is onsite in Palo Alto, CA, with rotating 8-hour shifts. Compensation is $34.40–$38.72 per hour. The position supports Stanford Health Care’s patient care team in the interventional platform. Under the direction of a registered nurse and/or anesthesiologist, the technician provides basic patient care and helps prepare patients and care areas for procedures. Safe patient transfers, unit readiness, supply support, and communication with clinical staff contribute to timely and orderly peri-anesthesia care.

What you'll do

• Assist anesthesiologists with patient transfers within the interventional platform, including ICU transport with an anesthesiologist
• report patient information and communicate readiness to staff
• assist patients before procedures as needed
• turn over pre/post bays
• clean and dress gurneys
• stock supplies and move equipment
• secure and retrieve patient belongings
• maintain a clean and orderly unit
• transfer patients safely
• provide basic care under RN/LVN supervision
• complete orientation and learning activities.
