What you'll do

• Interpret hospital and Nursing Service Department policies and standards
• work with the Director of Nursing Service on nursing-care quality standards
• coordinate and supervise nursing personnel
• assess care and safety during nursing-unit rounds and provide direct care as needed
• assist with staffing patterns, staff orientation, and educational programs
• document patient symptoms, progress, and care
• interpret and execute physicians’ orders
• maintain records
• use supplies and equipment appropriately
• and coordinate with other departments. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing school and current registration with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Keep BLS and ACLS current
• the hospital provides this education. Full-time employees are recommended to complete TNCC and ENPC, provided outside the hospital at no expense to the employee.
