What you'll do
- Review requirements from customer service, project management, and purchasing and place purchase orders
- request and evaluate vendor quotes
- identify cost-saving opportunities
- review customer requirements and CAD drawings to determine sourcing options
- monitor vendor on-time delivery
- resolve warranty claims and vendor quality issues
- conduct sourcing in compliance with company policies
- interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- coordinate drawing questions with internal engineering groups
- work with technical sales support, quality, sales, project managers, and engineering
- conduct vendor site visits as needed.

Why this role
A bachelor’s degree in purchasing, supply chain management, or business administration is requested. One or more years of related experience, preferably in the metals industry, is preferred. Vendor site visits are conducted as needed.
