Aircraft Paint Layout Technician

The Aircraft Paint Layout Technician role is onsite in Milan, IL, with a stated base hourly range of $20–$45. The position supports Elliott Aviation’s aircraft services and customer-focused business aviation solutions. The technician prepares, masks, primes, paints, and inspects aircraft surfaces and components to meet quality and safety standards. The work contributes to aircraft appearance and customer projects while coordinating with maintenance and finishing teams.

What you'll do

• Prepare aircraft surfaces by sanding, stripping, cleaning, and masking
• mix and apply primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings
• inspect finishes
• operate and maintain paint equipment
• follow blueprints, manuals, and paint schemes
• maintain compliant workspaces
• meet FAA, OEM, and company standards
• complete work orders and documentation
• coordinate with maintenance and finishing teams
• follow safety and hazardous-material procedures.
