Material Handler

The Material Handler role is onsite in Putnam, CT. Compensation is $20.06–$23.23 per hour, DOE. ThermoSafe Technologies’ manufacturing operations rely on material handling to support production and warehouse flow. The handler moves and stages materials, supplies production areas, prepares goods for internal movement or shipment, and maintains inventory records. Safe equipment operation and accurate handling help keep production supplied and support shipping deadlines and inventory accuracy; multiple shifts are available.

What you'll do

• Supply raw materials, components, packaging, and work-in-process materials to production and assembly areas
• prepare work-in-process and finished goods for movement or shipment by wrapping, strapping, labeling, and staging
• move goods and scrap to designated locations
• operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks and complete pre-use inspections
• load and unload trailers
• verify materials against shipping and receiving documents
• perform inventory counts and report discrepancies
• complete production, inventory, warehouse, and quality records
• maintain cleanliness using 5S standards
• work overtime as needed.
