The role combines direct resident care, clinical monitoring, documentation, regulatory compliance, and communication with residents, families, physicians, and other care professionals.

What you'll do

• Monitor resident care and evaluate care plans and physician orders
• assess transitional care patients
• ensure medications, treatments, and care are provided as ordered
• document nursing observations
• prepare equipment and assist physicians during rounds and treatments
• provide direct resident care and transport residents as time permits
• answer call lights
• perform glucometer readings, EKGs, and other testing as needed
• communicate with physicians and facility departments
• monitor regulatory compliance
• attend in-service programs
• advocate for patients and support patient and family education.
