What you'll do

• Learn facility materials and part details
• order production materials
• review planned orders and inventory levels
• issue purchase orders
• manage cycle counts and physical inventories
• serve as backup for indirect purchases
• support shop-floor purchasing
• work with Sales on customer contracts and issues
• segregate and store materials using equipment
• train and hold direct reports accountable
• maintain vendor relationships
• follow inventory standards
• may assist with supplier and customer negotiations.
