Utility Locator

Job overview

The Utility Locator role is onsite in Maryland Heights, MO, with pay of $19–$24 per hour. One Call Concepts Locating Services supports utility customers by responding to marking requests submitted through the Missouri State One Call System. Working independently in the field, the locator interprets utility records and uses locating equipment to mark underground facilities accurately. The role also documents completed work in an online ticket system and communicates with homeowners, excavators, and utility personnel.

What you'll do

• Respond to utility marking requests
• access records and plans using an internet-enabled laptop
• interpret utility records
• use locating equipment to mark the horizontal location of underground facilities
• document completed marking in the online ticket management system
• interact with homeowners, excavators, and utility personnel
• follow company policies and customer regulations
• participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.
