What you'll do

• Assess patients’ and significant others’ understanding of disease and surgical intervention
• provide perioperative teaching
• perform preoperative assessments and prepare the operating room
• assess equipment and supply needs
• provide patient care across age groups and administer medications safely
• position patients and perform surgical preparation
• handle equipment and specimens according to policy
• maintain emergency supplies and clean, stocked surgical suites
• participate in medical-record QAPI and quality improvement
• maintain professional relationships with physicians and patients.
