The Early Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Princess Anne, MD, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Compensation ranges from $18.75 to $25 per hour, depending on credentials and degree. The teacher supports SHORE UP! Inc.’s Early Head Start program in collaboration with staff, families, and community partners. The role implements a comprehensive early childhood classroom, supporting children’s development and learning while monitoring progress, health, and safety. It also builds family involvement and maintains the records and classroom practices required by the program.
What you'll do
- Plan and provide learning opportunities across cognitive, literacy, language, social, motor, arts, self-care, health, and nutrition areas
- assess student progress
- communicate with families through home visits and other contacts
- monitor student health and safety
- maintain program records and confidentiality
- oversee classroom volunteers
- collaborate with staff, families, and community partners
- participate in meetings and staff development
- select classroom supplies.

Why this role
Current Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education is preferred. Pay varies by credential and degree.
