What you'll do

• Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions for the unit
• make assignments appropriate to staff skill levels
• maintain patient-care standards
• implement physician orders
• support infection-control policies
• obtain and document nursing histories and assessments
• record vital signs and report changes
• develop care plans and communicate information to incoming staff
• supervise nonprofessional personnel
• communicate with residents, families, and the health care team
• respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
• uphold resident rights and safety.
