The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role is onsite in Sanford, FL. Compensation is not specified. The sonographer supports True Health’s clinical care by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and communicating findings to the appropriate provider. The role exists to produce accurate diagnostic images and information that inform patient care. It combines independent operation of sonography equipment with patient safety, equipment and work-area upkeep, preliminary reporting, and coordination with the care team.

What you'll do

• Perform clinical and diagnostic sonography examinations, including vascular, breast, kidney, abdominal, BPP, and physician-prescribed OB/GYN studies
• identify and record anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information
• submit exams for physician interpretation
• ensure patient safety and comfort
• analyze sonograms alongside medical history and communicate findings to providers
• maintain equipment, work area, and supplies
• prepare preliminary reports and contact referring providers as required
• coordinate patient care with staff
• organize daily work and perform related clerical duties
• report equipment failures
• provide in-service education as requested.

Why this role

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program required; bachelor’s degree is highly desirable. Active ARDMS certification is preferred. Reports to the Site Clinical Lead.
