Project Engineer III

Job overview

The Project Engineer III role is onsite in Ennis, TX, with compensation of $55–$65 per hour and 40 hours per week. System One provides outsourced services and workforce solutions to clients. The engineer leads capital and plant engineering projects from design through commissioning and startup, helping deliver work to scope, schedule, and budget. The role also supports Production and Maintenance through technical analysis, troubleshooting, contractor coordination, and engineering standards that address safety and cost control.

What you'll do

• Lead capital projects across their lifecycle
• define project installations and prepare design scopes, cost estimates, and capital justifications
• analyze technologies and recommend process or equipment changes
• coordinate design, engineering, commissioning, and startup
• manage maintenance staff and external contractors during execution
• support Production and Maintenance troubleshooting
• develop engineering standards
• promote and enforce safety practices.
