Tool Grinder

The Tool Grinder role is onsite in Brattleboro, VT, with pay of $23–$30 per hour. G.S. Precision manufactures critical components for the aerospace and defense industries. This role sets up equipment to make and sharpen complex cutting tools, supporting production needs and tool performance. The grinder reviews prints and machining requirements, maintains records and equipment, and assists less experienced tool grinders.

What you'll do

• Set up equipment to make and sharpen complex cutting tools and drills
• review prints to determine required angles, contours, and radii
• apply knowledge of machine feeds and speeds, tool angles, and reliefs
• maintain required records and an orderly work area
• follow safety, security, and housekeeping rules
• provide direction and assistance to less experienced tool grinders.
