MDS Coordinator

Job overview

The MDS Coordinator role is onsite in Worcester, MA, at Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Pay is $40–$48 per hour, depending on license and experience. The role supports the facility’s resident care planning and MDS process at a 162-bed skilled nursing facility. The coordinator organizes and oversees clinical assessments, resident care plans, and completion and transmission of MDS reports. The work also supports regulatory compliance, appropriate management of Medicare and insurance benefits, and documentation that supports billed services.

What you'll do

• Coordinate the MDS process
• oversee resident care plans through clinical assessment, medical-history review, personal interviews, and MDS reporting
• oversee ADL training for facility staff
• complete and transmit CMS-approved item sets
• follow CMS regulatory guidelines in the RAI Manual
• protect resident health information
• maintain Medicare meeting minutes
• issue denial notices and letters as required
• manage residents’ Medicare and insurance benefits
• maintain documentation supporting billed services.
