The In-Home Caregiver role is onsite at clients’ homes in Orland Park, IL. Compensation is $18.50 per hour. Assisting Hands provides personalized custodial and personal care services to clients in their homes. Working under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator and according to each client’s Plan of Care, the caregiver supports daily living, safety, comfort, and independence. The role also monitors and documents client well-being and communicates changes to the appropriate coordinator.

What you'll do

• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and dishwashing
• assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, shaving, transfers, mobility, ambulation, prescribed exercises, eating, and other personal care needs
• prepare and serve meals according to care plans and dietary preferences
• observe and report changes in client condition
• document care, vital signs, and fluid intake and output
• assist with mobility equipment and range-of-motion exercises
• follow infection-control practices and agency policies.

Why this role

A high school diploma or GED is required; one year of related experience is preferred. Flexible shifts may include daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend hours, and a fixed number of weekly hours is not guaranteed.
