The Strategic Buyer is an onsite position in Los Angeles, CA; the stated base salary range is $85,000–$110,000 per year. The role supports procurement and material planning for Machina Labs’ Robocraftsman production team. Machina Labs builds software-defined factories that produce complex metal structures from digital designs. The buyer manages the purchasing lifecycle, supplier relationships, and material planning to align supply-chain execution with production schedules and company goals. The role processes requisitions and purchase orders, monitors supplier performance, mitigates supply risks, and partners with engineering, program management, quality, and finance.

What you'll do

• Execute procurement for aerospace and defense programs
• maintain the MRP schedule for an assigned product line
• source and onboard suppliers, especially CNC and sheet-metal fabricators and COTS suppliers
• process requisitions and purchase orders
• expedite critical materials and adjust delivery schedules
• monitor supplier delivery and quality
• issue supplier forecasts
• identify supply-chain risks
• track purchasing and inventory in ERP/MRP systems
• support nonconforming-material resolution, documentation, continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
