Adult Education Instructor — Road to Careers Program

The Adult Education Instructor role is onsite in Hughesville, MD. Pay is $21.08–$26.35 per hour. The instructor delivers the adult education and literacy component of the Road to Careers Integrated Education and Training program, with instruction contextualized to the construction transportation field. The instructor builds adult learners’ academic, digital, workforce readiness, and college transition skills through instruction, assessment, and individualized support. The role contributes to student retention, persistence, and achievement while maintaining accurate attendance, assessment, and outcome records.

What you'll do

• Create a safe, supportive adult learning environment
• teach reading, writing, mathematics, digital literacy, workforce readiness, and college transition skills
• develop lesson plans and materials aligned with program outcomes
• use adult learning strategies and differentiated instruction
• collaborate with program leadership, faculty, and support staff
• support student retention and achievement
• administer assessments and evaluate progress
• use data to individualize instruction
• maintain attendance, instructional-hour, assessment, and outcome records.
