What you'll do

• Perform routine administrative duties and prepare reports
• work with the public and maintain records
• enforce local, state, and federal nuisance codes
• issue correction notices and citations and follow up
• patrol and inspect public and private properties
• respond to animal-control calls, patrol for animals at large, and place or retrieve traps as needed
• issue animal and livestock permits and licenses
• investigate animal cruelty and code complaints
• gather evidence and compare facts with code requirements
• assist with adoptions, surrenders, and missing animals
• represent the City in court when needed.
