Early Childhood Teacher Assistant

The Early Childhood Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Manitou Springs, CO. Pay is $14.50–$17 per hour. The position supports children ages 6 months to 6 years and assists the lead teacher in creating a nurturing learning environment. The assistant supports developmentally appropriate activities and children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Through attentive care, classroom upkeep, observation, and communication with families and the lead teacher, the role contributes to children’s daily learning and well-being.

What you'll do

• Assist the lead teacher with activities and lesson plans
• engage children through play
• provide care including diapering, feeding, and toileting routines for younger children
• maintain a safe and clean classroom
• observe and document progress
• communicate with the lead teacher and parents
• build trusting relationships with children and families.
