Job overview

The Fire Alarm Service Technician works onsite in New York, NY, with compensation of $30–$60 per hour. The technician services and maintains fire alarm and related life-safety systems, identifies and restores system trouble conditions, conducts inspections, and communicates findings to customers and project partners. The posting requires availability for emergency on-call services as needed.

What you'll do

• Service and maintain fire alarm systems
• identify and restore system trouble conditions in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications
• conduct site surveys and inspections
• identify deficiencies and write service tickets
• communicate technical issues and prepare reports
• collaborate with team members, clients, building and fire officials, and contractors.
