Reconstruction Technician

Job overview

The Reconstruction Technician role is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Compensation is $22–$28 per hour. Watterson Environmental Group restores residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, mold, and storms. The role restores damaged properties to pre-loss condition and assists mitigation teams with cleanup and remediation. It contributes to property recovery by completing repairs safely and in accordance with building codes and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Perform drywall patching, taping, and finishing
• complete minor carpentry and cabinetry repairs
• perform basic plumbing tasks
• install and repair flooring
• restore properties after fire, water, mold, or storm damage
• assist with water extraction, fire cleanup, and mold remediation
• comply with safety standards and building codes
• operate company vehicles as needed
• remain reachable during waiting-to-be-engaged periods
• travel to customer locations and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
