Certified Healthcare Investigator

Job overview

The Certified Healthcare Investigator role is onsite at Verland’s Moon and Sewickley locations, including Sewickley, PA. Compensation is not specified. The investigator reports to the Director of Quality and Compliance and supports incident management for Verland’s Intermediate Care Facility. This role exists to ensure incidents are recognized, reported, and investigated in accordance with applicable regulations and agency practices. Through timely, objective investigations and incident-management guidance, it supports the health, safety, rights, and well-being of people receiving services and helps prevent recurring incidents.

What you'll do

• Manage Intermediate Care Facility incidents
• conduct certified investigations
• secure evidence, obtain witness statements, review records and surveillance, and prepare chronological findings
• enter and manage reportable data in the Enterprise Incident Management System
• meet regulatory reporting timelines
• provide employee education and training
• participate in administrative and peer reviews.

Why this role

Requires a current Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs Certified Investigator certificate and familiarity with Pennsylvania Enterprise Incident Management. A healthcare-related bachelor’s degree and two years of ICF/ID experience are preferred.
