The Senior Red Hat Systems Engineer role is onsite in Manassas, VA, Monday–Friday. Compensation is not specified. BruckEdwards provides IT services to the federal government, and this role supports a mission-critical federal identity management system. The engineer designs, integrates, deploys, maintains, and supports Linux infrastructure to help ensure enterprise system availability, security, performance, and reliability. The role also supports virtualization and PKI-related components as needed, while developing secure solutions and maintaining technical documentation.

What you'll do

• Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems
• maintain infrastructure availability, performance, reliability, and security
• perform installations, patching, upgrades, and maintenance
• diagnose operating system, application, network, storage, and performance issues
• support production environments and virtualization
• implement system hardening and cybersecurity controls
• monitor system health and logs
• maintain configuration and troubleshooting documentation
• support hardware and software deployment
• support PKI components and certificate lifecycle activities as needed.

Why this role

Requires U.S. citizenship, active Top Secret clearance, 10+ years of relevant experience, and DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher compliant certification. PKI experience is preferred but not required.
