The Staff Registered Nurse, Surgical Services role is onsite in Springfield, GA. Compensation is not specified. The nurse works under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and supports perioperative patient care. The RN provides patient-centered care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia recovery phases. Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, patients, and families supports safe procedures, positive outcomes, and efficient surgical services operations.

What you'll do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative care
• review medical history, allergies, test results, orders, consents, NPO status, and readiness for surgery
• prepare and monitor patients and provide medications, IV access, wound care, and other nursing interventions within scope
• perform circulating, scrub, pre-operative, and PACU duties as assigned
• maintain sterile technique and participate in safety protocols and surgical counts
• document care and provide handoffs and patient education
• prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
• comply with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other applicable requirements.

Why this role

Requires graduation from an accredited registered nursing program, an associate degree in nursing, an active unencumbered Georgia RN license, BLS, and at least one year of nursing or related clinical experience. ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 30 days of hire; BSN and CNOR are preferred.
