Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Fairfax, VA, with a schedule of Thursday and Friday, 3–11 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Compensation is $19 per hour, plus a $1 weekend differential from Saturday at 8 a.m. through Sunday at 11 p.m. Community Living Alternatives supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, individual apartments, and the community. The role helps adults engage in safe, meaningful activities and pursue joy and independence. It provides individualized support, assesses potential risks, and communicates about activities and support provided.

What you'll do

• Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding, engaging in, and advocating for activities
• assess activities and physical spaces for risks and provide necessary support
• and communicate verbally and in writing about activities and safety.
