What you'll do

• Set strategic direction for assigned categories and assortment
• analyze market trends and customer preferences
• develop financial plans for category and area sales and margin goals
• oversee product assortment and approve master product selection
• coordinate inventory optimization and promotions with inventory and supply chain teams
• visit stores to assess assortment, pricing, and promotions
• set and review pricing and promotional strategies
• evaluate promotional effectiveness
• build vendor partnerships and negotiate pricing and promotional support
• collaborate with inventory, marketing, and supply chain teams
• guide partners in buying and analysis practices
• lead and mentor team members.
