Mental Health and Brain Injury Technician

Job overview

The Mental Health and Brain Injury Technician role is part-time and onsite in Ames, IA. Compensation is $20 per hour. The position supports participants in Community NeuroRehab’s residential brain injury rehabilitation facility. The technician supports and motivates participants as they work toward cognitive, physical, medical, behavioral, and psychosocial rehabilitation goals. Through engagement and support in developing behavioral compensatory strategies, the role helps participants build skills for returning to meaningful lives in their chosen communities.

What you'll do

• Support and motivate program participants as they address rehabilitation goals
• help participants develop behavioral compensatory strategies for coping with brain injury and mental health challenges
• support participant programming in the residential facility. Employees do not provide personal care.
