The Lifeguard — Opening Shift role is onsite in Butler, PA, with compensation of $12.50 per hour. The YMCA supports community youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. What you'll do

• Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas
• review and follow emergency procedures
• respond to emergencies according to YMCA policies
• maintain positive relationships with members, participants, and staff
• apply pool and aquatic-area safety rules
• maintain required records
• check equipment and pool hazards
• perform chemical testing and take appropriate action
• complete incident reports
• maintain pool-area equipment, safety, inventory, and cleanliness
• follow medical, disciplinary, child-abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.

Why this role
