Registered Nurse – Flight Medicine

Job overview

The Registered Nurse – Flight Medicine role is onsite at Holloman Air Force Base, NM, with a Monday–Friday schedule of eight hours per day within a scheduled nine-hour period between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., including a one-hour unpaid lunch. Compensation is not specified. The nurse supports the Flight Medicine Clinic and eligible beneficiaries at the base. The nurse provides outpatient care, assessments, triage, preventive-health services, care coordination, and telehealth nursing in collaboration with a multidisciplinary military healthcare team. The role supports clinical outcomes and continuity of care for active-duty service members and other eligible beneficiaries.

What you'll do

• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• perform physical assessments and obtain health histories
• provide direct care, health promotion, counseling, preventive-care education, and immunization support
• coordinate pre-appointment laboratory work and supplies
• assist with walk-ins
• provide telehealth nursing
• support active-duty, pediatric, women’s health, adult, and geriatric care
• document care
• conduct research supporting nursing practice and outcomes.
