Senior Network and Systems Engineer

The Senior Network and Systems Engineer role is hybrid in East Syracuse, NY, with 50% travel around the Capital Region and Central and Western New York. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 per year. Columbia Advisory Group’s Engineering team supports client and internal infrastructure environments. The role designs, implements, optimizes, and supports complex infrastructure, combining networking, systems administration, virtualization, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and project delivery. It contributes to secure, reliable environments through technical leadership, modernization projects, escalation support, and mentoring.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, virtualization, network, and cloud environments
• lead modernization, migration, and technology projects
• develop secure and resilient architectures
• support enterprise networking and monitor network health
• remediate cybersecurity risks
• administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune, VMware, and Hyper-V environments
• support backup and disaster recovery
• lead deployments and upgrades
• provide technical oversight and documentation
• act as Tier 3/4 escalation resource
• perform root-cause analysis
• participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance rotations
• mentor technical staff and contribute to standards.
