The Project Engineer Internship, Construction role is onsite in Kansas City, MO. Pay is $19–$23 per hour. This is a full-time, 10–12-week summer internship from May through August 2027. U.S. Engineering’s program includes orientation, job walks, and a community service event. The intern assists project managers and project engineers with planning, coordination, documentation, and field activities. The role provides hands-on experience applying academic knowledge to construction projects and supporting delivery within project schedules and funding parameters.

What you'll do

• Assist with technical documentation, reports, RFIs, and submittals
• support project coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation
• participate in site visits and inspections
• help identify and troubleshoot engineering issues
• collaborate with engineering, design, and project management teams
• attend training
• take meeting minutes
• document substitution requests
• assist with client relationships
• prepare and maintain productivity reports.
