Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in North East, MD, at NorthBay’s outdoor school and resort facility. Pay is $17–$20 per hour. NorthBay is a nonprofit that provides environmental education and character-development programs and hosts retreats and community events. The technician maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment to provide a safe and functional setting for students, guests, and staff. Preventive maintenance, repairs, and event support help keep the facility operating for its education and retreat programs.

What you'll do

• Perform routine repairs on buildings, cabins, classrooms, dining facilities, and recreational areas
• conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• inspect facilities and grounds
• assist with seasonal opening and closing
• respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
• support event setup and breakdown
• maintain tools and vehicles
• document work and supplies
• assist with waste management and recycling.
