The Human Spaceflight Range/System Safety Engineer role may be remote for well-qualified candidates or hybrid for candidates local to ULA in Centennial, CO. The annual salary range is $100,000–$200,000. The role supports ARES Corporation’s engineering team working with United Launch Alliance and NASA’s Artemis program. The engineer applies system-safety methods to the Centaur V upper stage, launch vehicle avionics, and ground and range interfaces. The work supports hazard mitigation, safety reviews, and compliance with human-rating and range-safety requirements for crewed missions.

What you'll do

• Support system-safety activities for the Centaur V upper stage
• develop, review, and maintain hazard reports, safety analyses, and compliance documentation
• analyze hazards across vehicle, avionics, ground operations, and range safety
• evaluate AFSS design, interfaces, and verification
• assess fault tolerance and control strategies
• prepare for and support NASA and range safety reviews
• coordinate with safety organizations and authorities
• present safety data and close review actions and findings.
