What you'll do

• Help define, maintain, and interpret nursing practice standards
• perform assessments and interventions according to policies and procedures
• participate in nursing practice committees
• coordinate resident admissions and transfers and related documentation
• make rounds and coordinate reports, assignments, and breaks for supervised staff
• coordinate and complete MDS schedules and documentation
• develop and update resident care plans
• monitor care, medication administration, and medication errors
• notify physicians of pertinent observations and document them
• transcribe physician orders and ensure implementation
• investigate and document incidents
• maintain adequate medication and supply levels
• direct the nursing shift.
