Maintenance and Automation Technician, All Shifts

The Maintenance and Automation Technician works onsite in Spartanburg, South Carolina. First-, second-, and third-shift positions are available; the schedule is Monday–Friday, with flexibility for early arrivals, late departures, or weekend work when operational demands require it. Compensation is not specified. The role supports production equipment and automation systems at GABLETEK. The position exists to maintain and improve automated production systems, including robotic welding cells and mechanical and electrical equipment, so equipment performance and production efficiency are supported. It also contributes through troubleshooting, safety and quality monitoring, root-cause analysis, and coordination with engineering and production teams.

What you'll do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems
• monitor quality, safety, and efficiency
• troubleshoot and program robotic systems
• modify robot programs and verify TCP
• support welding-process adjustments under engineer direction
• troubleshoot control systems, drives, motors, sensors, I/O blocks, valve stacks, HMIs, and PLCs
• perform basic to intermediate offline robot programming and electrical wiring
• mentor technicians and assist with toolbox talks and training.
