Paramedic (Per Diem) — ALS and Special Events

The Paramedic (Per Diem) — ALS and Special Events role is onsite in San Francisco, CA. Pay is $45–$58 per hour. The paramedic supports Royal Ambulance’s new advanced life support program and special-event standby work. The paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, assesses and treats patients, and supports safe transport and documentation. The role contributes to patient care and the development of Royal Ambulance’s ALS service line, which may include expansion into Critical Care Paramedic services.

What you'll do

• Respond to assigned emergency and non-emergency calls
• provide basic and advanced life support under county protocols and company procedures
• assess and treat patients
• maintain the ambulance and equipment in response-ready condition
• complete patient care reports and billing information
• maintain current state and county certifications
• communicate by radio, telephone, and in writing
• attend monthly CME courses
• maintain relationships with the medical community
• participate in company events and meetings
• support special-event standby work.

Why this role

The role is heavily involved with special events. Expansion into Critical Care Paramedic services is described as a possibility, not a guaranteed duty. Required credentials include California Paramedic Certification, San Francisco Accreditation or ability to obtain it, driver licenses, BLS, ITLS, ACLS, and PALS/PEPP.
