The Before/After-School Program Staff role is onsite in Mesa, AZ. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Pathfinder Academy at Eastmark’s recreational and educational activities for students in grades K–8, including sports and life skills for children ages 4–14. The staff member helps plan and lead activities, teach sports rules, and maintain a safe, cooperative environment. Through attendance tracking, activity setup, student engagement, and relationships with families and school staff, the role supports students’ participation, learning, and enjoyment.

What you'll do

• Work with the Site Leader and coworkers to plan and direct recreational and educational activities
• explain rules and expectations
• teach sports rules and procedures
• encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and safe practices
• maintain discipline and site safety
• build relationships with children, parents, school staff, and community members
• maintain attendance and records
• schedule and implement daily activities
• distribute snacks
• assist visiting instructors
• set up and take down activity centers
• attend staff training.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma, at least one year of coaching and/or working with children, a cellphone, and an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one by hire. Two or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
