The Operator Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in Elgin, IL, with first- and second-shift opportunities. Pay is $24 per hour. Faber-Castell Cosmetics produces private-label cosmetic pencils and is bringing its facilities and production operations to Elgin; Focus HR is recruiting for the client. The technician operates production equipment to safety and quality standards, performs in-process checks, and addresses equipment issues. The work supports production quality, line performance, and accurate maintenance and process documentation.

What you'll do

• Operate production equipment for cosmetic pencil production, stamping, or packaging
• follow safety, quality, and standard-work guidelines
• conduct in-process quality checks and address non-compliant pieces
• perform root-cause problem solving and action planning as required
• conduct daily autonomous maintenance
• troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance
• document work requests and work in progress or completed
• complete required machine and process-change documentation.
