Behavior Therapist

The Behavior Therapist position is onsite in Bloomfield, NJ, with pay of $25–$30 per hour. Working alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the therapist implements individualized behavior plans, provides one-on-one instruction, and tracks client progress. The role helps clients build communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living skills while coordinating with caregivers and the treatment team.

What you'll do

• Carry out individualized Behavior Intervention Plans developed by the BCBA
• provide one-on-one instruction using ABA techniques, including discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, and behavior management
• collect and log behavior and progress data
• help clients build communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living skills
• foster a supportive learning environment
• collaborate with the BCBA and team to review progress and adjust strategies
• communicate with clients, caregivers, and team members
• participate in professional development.
